Jeremy Hellickson comes in at number 1 on our list and looks to have a big rookie campaign for the Rays.
We’re ready to reveal prospects 1-12 in our 2011 Fantasy Baseball Top Prospects. Incase you missed 13-25, here’s what you’re in store for. Throughout the season this space will document and examine the prospects of baseball’s top, well…prospects. Were going to start with a top 25 of youngsters and follow that up with a weekly top 10 prospect power ranking (PPR from here on out) column. Since prospects come and go with great regularity, we will keep only the most legit of minor leaguers as the focal in order to maintain continuity. These baseball rankings will be fluid and ever changing, so expect fresh and insightful content every time out. Here are the top prospects of 2011.
1) Jeremy Hellickson (TB) – Hellickson is projected to begin the season in the majors with the Rays. With his outstanding command, Hellickson already received a nice deal of exposure to the big show in his 4 starts last season. (more…)

Giants fans are hoping for a repeat.
1) San Francisco Giants
With their young and talented pitching staff the Giants are in a great position to defend their World Series title in 2011. Giant pitchers led all of baseball last year in ERA, strikeouts, and opponents batting average. They were also second in runs allowed and their bullpen recorded a league best 57 saves, most coming from closer Brian Wilson who converted 48 of his 53 attempts. The Giants should be stronger this season as an offensive fantasy baseball power as well. With a few off-season moves and young emerging talent in the line-up, they hope to bolster their numbers from a year ago. I fully except the Giants to win this division again in 2011, and make a run in the post season towards another World Series Title.
Offseason Grade | B
The Giants made the necessary moves needed to set themselves up for a run at a repeat. The first major obstacle was resigning their best offensive player from a year ago Aubrey Huff. (more…)

Jesus Montero finds himself on our fantasy baseball prospect list and possibly in the NY lineup.
Welcome aboard. Now that we got that housecleaning out of the way, lets dive right into the inaugural top 25 for the beginning of the 2011 season. We’ll begin with 13-25, to be followed shortly by ranks 1-12.
25. Zach Britton (Bal) – Britton is expected to begin his 2011 season at AAA Norfolk, but don’t be surprised to see him make an impact at the big league level sometime this season. (more…)

This is the man on top of many experts' list!
The shortstop position is very top heavy this fantasy baseball season, but the list does have some players that are consistent. Some of these shortstops can be valuable fantasy players at a low price. This is not a position where you will find power outside of Hanley Ramirez and Troy Tulowitzki unless someone else steps up in 2011.
This is a position filled with players that have had recent injuries, but if healthy, they are capable of producing valuable numbers in five or six categories, which could make them very helpful on your roster. (more…)

Look for Carlos Gonzalez to have a monster 2011.
Preseason fantasy baseball position rankings continue here at FBS. We have already listed fantasy baseball catchers, and second basemen, so now it’s on to the outfielders. Such a deep position calls for a top-15 list. Here are my early pre-spring training rankings for the OF position.
