This year in the 2011 fantasy baseball season, it has been really tough to pick out more than just one plausible triple crown candidate.  In the Fantasy baseball world, a triple crown player is of the utmost value to a manager trying to make a push for the fantasy baseball title.  A player that leads the league in average, RBI and home runs, is a player that can lead your team to the playoffs and finals by himself, or at least play a huge role in doing so!  In this list of triple crown threat(s), honorable mentions after Jose Bautista and Jay Bruce will be of no shortage. Damon and Ramirez reunite as teammates in Tampa

Spring Training is quickly approaching and GMs are starting to make more moves in preparation of the upcoming season. It is important to pay attention to where certain players land. This could affect their fantasy value and what type of production to expect. For example, it is expected Jorge Cantu will sign with the Padres. This will have a serious impact on his home run totals, playing half his games at Petco Park. Mike Napoli was traded twice in the past week. First to the Blue Jays in the Vernon Wells trade and then he was shipped off to Texas for relieve pitcher for Frank Francisco. Now it may be tough for Napoli to find regular at-bats given the Rangers lineup. However, given an opportunity, he could have big year playing in the much more hitter friendly Ballpark in Arlington. Beltre should give the Rangers some power.

Even though we are still about five weeks away from pitchers and catchers reporting for Spring Training, there is plenty of off-season fantasy baseball news that will have an affect on the 2011 fantasy baseball season.

Where will Manny be Manny next season? He is still looking for a team, along with Carl Pavano, Vladimir Guerrero, Johnny Damon, and Brad Penny. However, one premier free agent has found a home and will be playing in a division next season that he has spent ample time within before.

Adrian Beltre to Sign With Texas Rangers

Adrian Beltre is expected to sign a multiyear deal with the Texas Rangers soon and will return to the AL West where he played five seasons with the Seattle Mariners. This is definitely an interesting move for all parties involved and there are fantasy implications for more than just Beltre with this signing. (more…)
