Will Matt Kemp be the number one fantasy stud of 2012?
With Major League Baseball’s “Opening Day” set for April 5th, weekly fantasy baseball games are right around the corner. You know what that means; it’s time to predict the top fantasy baseball players of 2012.
So let’s get right to it.
1. Miguel Cabrera, Detroit Tigers
Cabrera had yet another stellar season for the Tigers in 2011. He finished in the top 10 in the American League in seven offensive categories. In other words, he is a fantasy stud.

Fielder to the Nats?
Prince Fielder looks like he could be coming close to signing with either the Washington Nationals or the new Miami Marlins. If Fielder does leave Milwaukee, Matt Gamel would be expected to take over at first base. Gamel’s not much of an intriguing option though, as he’s only a career .222 hitter in only 85 games. If Fielder signs with the Nats, look for him to play first base with Michael Morse covering left field and Adam Laroche sliding over to the bench or being traded once spring training begins. (more…)

Matt Kemp is right back on top of the NL
The buyers have brought in new talent, and sellers have unloaded some of their best bats for young talent. The July 31st trade deadline has come and gone, and while most of the best producers have stayed put, some big bats have shuffled around the league. As the division races heat up, fans will find out who has the best value as the season winds down. These are the National League Power Rankings as of July 31st.
1) Matt Kemp – LAD (Last Week: 4)

Ryan Braun has taken over the National League.
A slew of National League Central stars are proving that they are both worth the money and a valuable asset to their team. As that race heats up, potential free agents and franchise players are starting to make a dent in the fantasy baseball market. From locked up players like Ryan Braun to potential free agents like Jose Reyes, the NL Power Rankings are chalk full of talent. These are the National League Power Rankings as of July 24th.
1) Ryan Braun – MIL (Last Week: 4)
Ryan Braun, who has been in and out of the Brewer lineup, has been a force when he gets to play. Braun has only played 11 games this month, but in those games, he is hitting .303 with 4 homers. (more…)

Joey Votto leads a pack of NL Central bats.
With the All-Star game behind us, these National League stars now just have to fight out who will be that team that gets home field advantage in the World Series. With no less than 8 contenders for 4 playoff spots, the race towards the finish could be one of the more interesting ones in recent history. Who will win the NL Central, and who will be the heroes? Fans will have to wait and see to find out. These are the National League Power Rankings as of July 17th.
1) Joey Votto – CIN (Previously: 5)
While many of the top National All-Star selections are struggling, Votto has excelled going into and out of the All-Star break. With 18 hits in July, good for an average of .367, Votto has helped put his Cincinnati Reds in the NL Central race. (more…)
