With that in mind, here are 20 stats: 10 for well-known players and 10 for under-the-radar types.
Take what you want to from them, but here they are.

Adrian Gonzalez and the Red Sox have a lot to celebrate about.
Adrian Gonzalez is trailed by a slew of Yankees and Red Sox, fittingly, as those two teams compete for the top spot in the AL East. The best players come through when their team needs them the most, and the best bats in the American League are proving themselves in tight pennant races. There are some big numbers showing up recently as the season winds down. Here are the American League Power Rankings as of August 3rd.
1) Adrian Gonzalez – BOS (Last Week: 1)
Adrian Gonzalez’s RBI total now sits at 90, which means he will almost definitely be the first player in baseball to cross over the 100 RBI mark, with much of the season left to play. (more…)

Adrian Gonzalez has stepped up and become this week's AL Power Ranking's #1.
With how hot the Red Sox offense has been, it is not too surprising that they have a slew of players in this week’s American League Power Rankings. The best has been, who else, Adrian Gonzalez, who has n RBI total that rocks anyone else in the big leagues. Time will tell how high that total can climb, and how much Fantasy owners will feast on his production. These are the American League Power Rankings as of July 27th.
1) Adrian Gonzalez – BOS (Last Week: 2)
While he still has not been able to hit the long ball as of late, Adrian Gonzalez has been on an RBI tear. With 7 RBIs in his last 4 games, Gonzalez has pushed his season RBI total to a phenomenal 85. (more…)

Jose Bautista is back on track.
Jose Bautista is back, and blasting home runs once again. He has a big lead over the second-best home run hitter in the league, who is also mentioned in this list, and is a name that might surprise you. While Adrian Gonzalez has been knocked off of the #1 spot, that does not mean that the Red Sox are not well-represented in this week’s American League Power Rankings. These are the AL Power Rankings as of July 18th.
1) Jose Bautista – TOR (Previously: 4)
Jose Bautista was happy to see June go, and his bat has heated up with the weather in July. After hitting only 4 homers in June, Bautista has already hit 7 in July, to contribute to his Majors-leading 31 HRs total. (more…)
