Fantazzle is proud to announce the addition of guaranteed fantasy baseball games. That means all prizes will be paid out in full even if the game doesn’t fill up. You can’t find that everywhere.
This Friday there are two games with guaranteed pots. There is a guaranteed pot of $100 for the $11 buy-in game and $200 for the $5.50 buy-in game. For the $200 pot game the top six get paid with the winner receiving $86 and the the $100 pot game the top three get paid with the winner receiving $50. For as little as $5.50 there are some nice cash prizes to be won. The $200 pot game is filling up fast, so sign up now!
The guaranteed games are in Fantazzle’s fantasy baseball salary cap games. You receive a $1 million salary cap and then have to choose 8 players from various positions to fill your team. The scoring also remains the same. Both of these guaranteed contests take place every Friday in what they’re calling “Fantastic Fridays.”
You can now sign up for a Fantazzle account via Fantasy Baseball Sportal. Once you sign up you can even register for games and fill out your team while still on FBS. You can also access it by clicking the **PLAY FREE FANTASY BASEBALL GAMES** link under the main menu. (more…)

Sit Justin Verlander?
Knowing when to start and sit players, especially starting pitchers, can be key to a win or loss in weekly fantasy baseball leagues or H2H leagues.
Whether it’s benching a Top 30 pitcher with a tough matchup or picking up a guy off the Waiver Wire with a juicy start, playing the matchups is a skill that takes some research and the intestinal fortitude to do what the trends and statistics say instead of what your gut says.
With that in mind, here are five SPs to avoid in the upcoming week and five to plug in or grab off of Waivers.

Is Albert Pujols in your lineup because of his name or his performance?
Oftentimes, fantasy baseball owners get a little caught up in the name game – allowing players to occupy their rosters based on name recognition instead of performance while better players, although not as popular, are outperforming them.
It’s important to balance the knowledge of a player’s past performance with an objective look at how they are performing in the moment.
With that in mind, here are 20 stats: 10 for well-known players and 10 for under-the-radar types.
Take what you want to from them, but here they are.

Is Jeter's buzz about to flat-line?
We’ve all been there. Good times, good friends, but for whatever reason it all has to come to an end. Maybe the booze ran out. Maybe the cops show up. Maybe an ex shows up. However it happens, it signifies the end of what was perceived by all to be a good thing.
That is what I’m about to do – kill the buzz on fantasy baseball players who are performing at such a high level that they can’t maintain and should fall back to Earth sometime within the next few weeks.
If you feel like riding the hot streak, fine. If you feel like trading the player away, fine. I don’t care what you do with them, but here are some players with a buzz that is soon to flat-line. (more…)
