Just when it looked as though Bautista may be knocked out of the top spot as the best bat in the AL, he belted 3 homers in one game against the Twins. The season is a quarter of the way through, and the most prolific home run hitter in baseball right now is on pace for over 60 home runs. However, some of the best bats in the American League are creeping up in his rear view, vying for that top spot as the best bat in fantasy baseball. This is a list of the best hitters in the American League as of May 16th.

A quarter of way through the MLB season, and some of the National League’s best are proving that they have the most productive bats in the league, while others were sad to see April go. The NL Central hosts a bevy of MVP candidates, while NL East stars are beginning to battle for the division crown early on in the season, and a few stars out west are refusing to quiet down. This is a list of the best hitters in Fantasy Baseball for the National League as of May 15th.

Jose Bautista is living up to his big new contract, now at #1 in the AL Power Rankings

April has come and gone, and the MLB season swings into May. Some were happy to see the calendar change, while others are hoping they can eclipse what the beginning of the season has meant for their stats. Last season’s home run champ continues to dominate American League pitching, while other are making adjustments to show what they can do. These are the fantasy baseball power rankings for hitters in the AL as of May 10th.

Bautista missed 5 games due to a neck injury, so his numbers have not changed much since last week. However, in his return to the lineup Sunday, Bautista blasted a home run to show that the injury was only a minor setback. (more…)
