Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire (Jul. 9)

Friday, July 9th, 2010

Tommy Hunter has won five straight decisions for the Rangers.

If your team is in need of a boost we suggest looking at some of these gentlemen below. Not only are these players available, their on fire! You better hurry though, because the percentages (percentage owned in Yahoo! leagues) you see next to the players name will be rising quickly.

Clint Barmes, COL, 2B/SS (70): Barmes is coming off of a 14-game hitting streak and has 7 runs scored over the past week. The Rockies are heating up and making a strong push for first against the Padres, who are coming back to earth.

Gaby Sanchez, FLA, 1B (47):  He probably won’t be the starting first baseman on your team, but Sanchez’ .307 AVG is perfect for a utility position.  Sanchez has been getting a lot of help from his teammates too, he has scored 4 runs over the past week and as many RBI. (more…)

For the second week in a row a Giant is headlining the waiver wire.  It is actually fitting since Buster Posey was actually the reason Huff was moved from 1B to the OF.  Since the move the Huffernutter has been on fire.  This week at the plate Huff smashed in 3 home runs, 8 RBI and is hitting .350 in that span.  Huff is a good pickup to add some OF depth since he is on such a hot streak and can be placed in multiple positions. Get him while you can.

Is your team missing a piece? Do you have an injury that is hurting your team? Is one of your role players slumping? Well you came to the right place,  here is a list of some sure fire pickups to add to your fantasy baseball squad both in the field and on the mound.
