Gardner, who has been platooning in the OF, is not the Yanks’ everyday center fielder.In 27 games this season, Gardner has a .348 average with 31 hits and 24 runs. Most stunning number is 14.. Gardner is leading the league in stolen bases. No signs at all of Gardner slowing down. Even when Granderson comes back, Gardner will see a huge increase in time in LF with Randy Winn struggling mightily. Gardner is slowly becoming a fan favorite in the Bronx.
