Adrian Gonzalez continues to roll over the opposition.

While the Red Sox have not fared too well in their past 6 games, it has not slowed down the bat of Adrian Gonzalez, who continues to put up a show for all of baseball to see. He leads a slew of powerful first basemen, a group that the American League All-Star club may not be able to carry with all of the depth. Who will be the snub? Only time will tell. The Sox are finally playing like many of the experts predicted that they would, and it has been scary for the opposition. Fantasy owners figured out in May that Adrian Gonzalez was going to be a significant force in baseball, and was a must-have commodity for any lineup. Now he is joined by a few other teammates in this week’s power rankings as the Red Sox put together an impressive winning streak. The contenders are starting to break away from the pretenders as the season heats up. These are the power rankings for the American League as of June 13th.

While Jose Bautista has been impressive all season long, he has had a few players hot on his trail in the weeks passed. This week, he has finally been caught by the red hot bat of Adrian Gonzalez. The Red Sox slugger has been on an impressive tear that even Bautista could not keep up with. The American League East has long been the powerhouse of the AL, and these power rankings are no different. These are the best bats in the American League as of June 6th.

This year in the 2011 fantasy baseball season, it has been really tough to pick out more than just one plausible triple crown candidate.  In the Fantasy baseball world, a triple crown player is of the utmost value to a manager trying to make a push for the fantasy baseball title.  A player that leads the league in average, RBI and home runs, is a player that can lead your team to the playoffs and finals by himself, or at least play a huge role in doing so!  In this list of triple crown threat(s), honorable mentions after Jose Bautista and Jay Bruce will be of no shortage.
