2012 Fantasy Baseball: Players Who Will Bounce Back

Will Angels left fielder Vernon Wells have a bounce back season in 2012?

Every year in the majors there are players who have shown consistency in their performances season after season, but for whatever reason they failed to live up to expectations.

In some cases, the blame falls on injury, opportunity, or, in some cases, just plain bad luck. Players such as Dan Uggla and David Wright in 2011 come to mind. Although it can be hard to draft or trade for a player who burned you last year, there are some of those guys who not only deserve a second look in 2012, but are must own players.

But first, how do we define bad luck? (more…)

2012 Fantasy Baseball

Albert Pujols is ready to make the Angels a "real" contender.

Among the hot topics in fantasy baseball for the past few years has been debating who is the best slugger in baseball. While a lot of players have deservingly so been mentioned, Alex Rodriguez, Prince Fielder, Miguel Cabrera, the one name who seems to be a unanimous decision is Albert Pujols. The two-time World Series champ has thrived in St. Louis ever since he started playing for the Cardinals in 2001 in which he hit 37 home runs. And as Albert has thrived, his teammates have thrived as well. 2012 Fantasy Baseball: Top 5 Shortstops

Will Troy Tulowitzki be the premier fantasy shortstop in Major League Baseball in 2012?

With Spring Training in full swing, the 2012 fantasy baseball season is just around the corner. During the next week or so, fantasy baseball fiends across the United States will be flooding draft rooms to select their 2012 fantasy baseball lineups.

Thus, it would behoove you to draft a shortstop in the early rounds. (more…)

2012 Fantasy Baseball: Baltimore Orioles Fantasy Outlook

Thursday, March 8th, 2012

What do the birds have this year in fantasy?

Baltimore will have an uphill climb from the basement of the AL East in 2012. When you play in the same division as New York, Boston and Tampa, the chances of them finishing in the top three of that division are slim at best.

The Orioles don’t have many appealing fantasy options in 2012. SS J.J. Hardy hit 30 HR last season but has seen his share of time dealing with injuries. None of them are serious, but they are the day-to-day types that cost him an average of 50 games a season. He makes a nice middle infielder with pop to have, but be ready with a backup plan if you own Hardy. (more…)

2012 Fantasy Baseball: Buster Posey looks for Comeback Campaign

Buster Posey looks to return to form in 2012

Buster Posey, one year removed from his 2011 Rookie of the Year and World series championship with the San Francisco Giants found himself laying on in the dirt at home plate surrounded by trainers and coaches. An injured left leg and a lost season would end up being the result for Buster Posey. A lost starting catcher would be the result for Fantasy Baseball owners around the world. (more…)
