While Jose Bautista has been impressive all season long, he has had a few players hot on his trail in the weeks passed. This week, he has finally been caught by the red hot bat of Adrian Gonzalez. The Red Sox slugger has been on an impressive tear that even Bautista could not keep up with. The American League East has long been the powerhouse of the AL, and these power rankings are no different. These are the best bats in the American League as of June 6th.

June has begun, and the Major League Baseball season will head into the dog days of summer. As the weather starts to heat up, so have some of the finest players the National League has to offer. While some names may continue to surprise, others have been there before.
