Top 5 Fantasy Baseball Sleepers (Apr. 24th)

Chris Snyder is a solid pickup in all fantasy leagues

1. Carlos Gomez, OF, Brewers

Gomez is batting second for the Milwaukee Brewers, who currently are second in the league in runs scored behind only the Dodgers. With a three game series coming up against the Pirates who give up more runs than any team in the National League, Gomez could have a big week.  He’s been getting the majority of the playing time lately, beating out Jim Edmonds.  (Owned- 8%)

2. Chris Snyder, C, Diamondbacks

The Diamondbacks catcher has 2 home runs, 7 walks, and 9 RBI early on in the season.  He has hit safely in his last 9 games with the exception of a 2 game stretch against the Padres who currently lead the National League in pitching.  With Miguel Montenero still a couple weeks from returning, Snyder will continue to get the starts.  (Owned- 9%)

3. Ryan Hanigan, C, Reds

With starting catcher Ramon Hernandez struggling at the plate, Hanigan has filled in strong and should get most of the starts this week.  He is batting over .400 including consecutive games with 3 hits and 2 hits on Thursday and Friday. (Owned- 1%)

4. Blake DeWitt, 2B, Dodgers

The Dodgers are leading the National League in runs scored and games against the Mets and Pirates this week should allow them to keep scoring at a steady pace.  Dewitt has played a terrific second base and recorded a hit in 7 out of the last 8 games.  While he won’t be hitting a lot of home runs, he knows how to get on base and score runs.  (Owned- 1%)

5. Jeff Keppinger, IF, Astros

Keppinger is off to a great start for the Astros batting .333 with 6 RBI.  With 5 doubles and 6 walks early on, he is finding a way to get on base at the top of the order for Astros.  The Astros have won 5 out of their last 6 and with matchups against the Reds and Braves this week, Keppinger has potential for a good week.  (Owned- 5%)
